Nei Gong
Taoist Process of Internal Change
Nei Gong can be translated as meaning: 'Internal Work' or 'To Go Through an Internal Process' and this is the main study within our school. It provides the foundation for all of the internal and healing practices and all members over the age of 18 are required to have at least some understanding of this area of study.
Nei Gong is a series of steps that a practitioner aims to move through in order to activate their energy system and return it to its original state of being. This is known as the transition from an Acquired to a Congenital state.
In order to understand what Nei Gong is we need to know that it incorporates elements of Qi Gong, Taoist Yoga, Internal Alchemy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through practicing set exercises we can begin to move through the following process:
  1. Relaxing the Mind and Body
  2. Aligning the Bones and Joints
  3. Lengthening and Opening our Tissues and Joints
  4. Spinal Flexion
  5. Connecting the Fascia and Tissues
  6. Open the Acquired Meridians
  7. Listening to and Guiding Qi Through our Energy System
  8. Awakening the Dan Tien
  9. Opening the Congenital Meridians
  10. Cleansing the Energy Body of Pathogens
  11. Drawing in of Heaven and Earth
  12. Expanding the Energy Body
  13. Settling the Heart-Mind
  14. Large Water Wheel Activation
  15. Awakening Mental Functions
The Nei Gong process is the result of laoshr Damo's studies in both the East and the West.

Rather than the teachings of one single tradition, it is the culmination of several branches of Eastern wisdom.

Through this process, a practitioner learns to first condition their physical body and then eventually their energy system. It provides a solid foundation for practice of the internal Gong Fu styles and Alchemy practice.
