Pushing Hands
Toui Shou is often translated in the West as meaning ‘Pushing Hands’. This is the partner practice that teaches a student to relax under pressure, increase their sensitivity to external events and eventually to issue force from a close distance or even direct contact. Without Toui Shou, TaijiQuan is incomplete and lacking in much of its depth. In Lotus Nei Gong students will learn Toui Shou fairly early and practice regularly in order to understand the forms and 8 key Jins. The course is suitable for anybody who has studied Yang, Chen or Wu style TaijiQuan to a basic or advanced level. The course will focus on issuing soft force and manifesting Peng, Lu, Ji and An in Toui-Shou.
Course cost includes all food and accommodation with a small additional cost for the meal on Saturday night which will be in a local restaurant.
